This is my pile of bits and pieces,
materials, papers, most were used, but I am still looking for a home for the skeleton leaf.
The earlier stages of sticking down,
The base canvas was a total mess of colour, scrapes, spilt embossing powder that stuck to the original wet paint.
I added the clay left overs and began by covering it with white acrylics, gesso didn't work .
I had a bit of experiment with paler colours at this stage and decided that pink and pale were not me.
Hence the dark final colours you see in my first photo.
I used own made spray paints.
Found the pen nib for the butterfly, in a packet containing yet more bits and pieces.
Now to the added words, it is really a note to myself.....
that one day, if I ever completely sort through my craft room, it could happen, I often start the job and tidy the desk. Tidiness and order, would prevail.
Go on laugh,, I know that this is a very distant dream.
Besides, I wouldn't know where to find anything.
Thank you for calling in to see me today
You are always very welcome.

It's really true that color unifies everything. Although I liked the pink and white, I much preferred the final beauty you created. Had to laugh at the concept of a clean art studio, though. I think it's something all of us aspire to now and then.
ReplyDeleteFabulous left overs and I like you new header too.
ReplyDeleteLove the texture on this piece Yvonne. It is absolutely gorgeous. Hugs-Erika

ReplyDeleteYou are never too old to dream a new dream. I am doing that right now with my artwork. I have taught school and sewn and knitted for years and years but that door was closed to me by arthritis and my back problems. But a wonderful new door opened and a wee dream came true....my artwork. Thanks for all of your encouragement. genie
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful Yvonne and what a difference with the final colour added to it. Clever use of the leftoves
ReplyDeleteLove Chrissie xx
