All creatures great and small for AJJ

All creatures great and small, and the opportunity to use a favourite lion image.
I had this months theme, 'Natures Wonders',  chosen by Gill
in mind when creating a couple of hybrid pages for

I used one of my own base backgrounds,  it was sprayed with one of my  mixed colours.  For the  line drawn sketchy flowers I used  old wax crayons. The may have been a brand ? gelatos, I did buy a few many moons ago, now they are stored in a tin box, with similar items.

This is the second page I made with the same base,
When I read this quote I just knew I had to use it for this theme.
Butterflies have such short lives, but they are a true wonder of nature.
Thank you for calling in to see me today,
you are most welcome.
Digital additions from
Mischief Circus kits
as well as my own.

  2. I am already singing it in my head....all things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small...God loves them all....I left out one line, but I remember vividly singing it at Sunday school as a little girl. All three of your pieces today have special meaning to my love of nature...be it a butterfly, a lion, or flowers. They are all beautiful in their own ways. Thanks for continuing to inspire me to try harder. genie

  6. Oh Yvonne. I love the lion entry because it is so different and really quite romantic. The two lions look like they are really in love with each other. You got a LOT of mileage out of that background, too. It was wonderful and did double duty. Fun journal pages today.

  11. Aww :) love these Yvonne - adorable image of the lion family, brilliant idea and the wonderful quote on your second piece - I will try to remember that for when I see a butterfly next.
That's a cool background - looks very useful and versatile...fireworks, posies under the sea etc :)
I got a bit behind yesterday as the heat really got to me - can't seem to think straight when its so hot.
How is it at your end of the world? Max outside temp showed 36.2 maybe be a bit out with some reflective heat but - phew!

Something about the words "all creatures great and small" has such a tender ring and really touches my heart.
