Tea Time on Tuesdays.

The theme for this weeks challenge at

Its also Tuesday where we gather together at

So I have created this  digital collage page  with one of my favourite sentiments.

In my home.......there is always time for tea......and everyone is always welcome to call in.

I have been enjoying creating pages on a daily basis this month. This one on the left is still work in progress as I cannot decide how much  more I want to add.  

A bit of a short Tuesday post from me as I have been  coping with a really bad flu type  bug, coughing and sneezing, you wouldn't think  I had a flu jab a few weeks ago.

The page began with a pieces of striped  coloured tissue, stuck to a random  coloured, background page.

I then fussy  cut out some bottles and glasses from a free supermarket magazine. A bit more colouring with oxide inks to fill a few white spaces.

It was then taken into the digital computer program I use for the extra details to be added.

This is how the page started.
A stencilled background, fussy cut stamped image and some washi tape to make a bench for her to sit on.
My colours today have a for me a calming effect. a time when I would just like to sit quietly and think about the important things in life .

I have had some fun this evening using my digital program to create this page.

I did start off with  a photo of one of my base layers, but that is well covered with

  layers and  added digital  images.

Magical Mystery Tour

So  after the layers of splodges and paint were added
and a jam jar for some flowers
 I got thinking about butterflies visiting my garden.

So my magical  Mystery is....  to look through the eyes of a butterfly and wonder what they see and smell.
 We know they are attracted to certain flowers etc. Do they get the same thrill we do when we see our flowers blooming and  showing themselves. Now that's something  to ponder over.

Can love be art for the soul?

Love  is for sure,  not something to be  commercialised around 14th February.

We should show our loved ones, friends and even our family pets, 

 that they mean the world to us, at all times of the year.

Oh dear it sounds like I am on my soapbox.  But to me,  money, cannot buy love.

A digital collage page for this weeks word  at the

which is............. Blackbird.

I took a  trip down memory lane when I was assembling this page.

Remembering  when I was young and  getting your photo taken was quite an event.

Not many folk could afford a camera.

Parents would say things like, stand very still,

 '''smile for the camera'' or  ''smile for the birdie''

and we did just that.

The results were usually cheesy,  stiff looking grins

 and we sometimes  looked like a poker was stuck up our backs.

Photos were black and white,  how times have changed.

Had a couple of hours today to sit and watch the world go by.......

not me.......... it was time to do a little more  digital crafting,

while my husband was painting. [watercolours].

My new way to enjoy myself without having to take a limited amount of stash in the caravan.

Fingers crossed it seems to be working.

I have a crazy notion that those two gals wanted to fly over the top of the Eiffel Tower,

Sisters in Silhouette.

A journal spread for Art journal Journey. where the theme is ' For the record '.

My song today is Sisters sung by the Beverley sisters, my mother used to love them back in the day.

You may have seen a glimpse of the pages in my last post, beside my cup of tea.

The background was sprayed  and mopped up and I used  a stencil  mask for the  the silhouette face..

I  added more shading, took a photo and then added some digital images and the wording. in my Craft Studio.

The main word 'sister's' was assembled  with some stick on letters I have had for years and not used.

Above is  my hands on  version.

with added random stamping and quote.

Sometimes pages work out, but these ones  I am not quite happy with-- too green

Madame Butterfly and her Mosaic Garden.

Two pages to share with you today,

first of all for 

  Take a Word where  the theme is Butterflies.

I made this  digital collage  page in my Craft Studio program, layering up backgrounds and images

from Mischief Circus kits,  Dezinaworld and my own found ones.

So another page where I'm sure the butterflies would enjoy living.

Spring Equinox

Over at Take a Word, this weeks theme is the

Spring Equinox, so I assembled this page with that theme in mind.

Using images from Mischief Circus kits and some of my own, this is the base layer, embossed and coloured with distress inks.

I used my Craft Studio to create the layering of this page.

Vintage wedding.

The theme for this week at the  Take a Word Challenge is

 Vintage Sepia-Buttons and bows.

Another digital page, I am hooked on this kind of crafting at the moment, but still manage to have a complete mess in the craftroom,  where there are  some mixed media pieces-- work in progress 

and a few messy  backgrounds.

 Look close and you can see  part of the page I used yesterday with the love birds.

Other images used were my own/found and from Mischief Circus or Dezinaworld kits.

Pretty as a Picture

A digital creation again today, this time for a challenge that I have seen ,

when I have been visiting blog friends posts

Take a Word, the theme is Frames.

I used Mischief Circus kits and assembled this in my  Craft Studio.

Yesterday I added a digital punch to my page and a few friends asked about it.

I can only say that it is part of the program  and something I have just begun to explore.

For fun this is one of my dabbling about pieces. Its a clever tool

 and you can use the outside or the inside of the shape.

No wasting of papers either when experimenting on the computer.
