Diary Day.......Lets Party

Lets Party
My last Diary Day of the year.
I added more colour this week to an already bright page.
Of course I used stencils and random stamping for the background,
why change  my favourite  additions to my weekly diary pages.
Hugo and Fifi  [PA stamps] are busy making cakes for the  New Years  Party on Tuesday .

As its nearly New Year's Eve I will link this page to
Bleubeard and Elizabeths theme at
 Art Journal  Journey
 this months theme is.....
Tis the Season or My favourite season.

There will  be many gatherings and parties this festive season  to celebrate the New Year,
although ours will be  a rather quieter event with the family.

I would like to say thank you to everyone who has called in  on Fridays  to see what I have been creating in my weekly diary......  52 weeks.... I made it......
your visits and comments  have been very much appreciated.

Diary Day...... Peace on Earth

I have really struggled to get a good photo of this coming weeks diary page.

I used gesso to cover the background colours, with a sprinkle of brusho powder.
A stamped image today  that I think sends its own message without needing  many more additions.
I finished the page with   some stencils   using modeling paste for texture.

This page will also  fit  the current
Art Journal Journey theme
set by Bleubeard on Elizabeth this month.
Tis the Season or My Favourite season,......... so I will pop over and link it there.

It is the season when we  celebrate the birth of the infant Jesus.
A time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.

I hope you all have a lovely peaceful and happy day.

Diary Day.... Let it snow

Mr Frosty is making an appearance on today's journal diary pages
and as it also a winter page I will be joining the folk st
where Bleubeard and Elizabeths theme for the month is...
Tis the Season or My Favourite Season

It was a background that didn't need to much covering up today. A bit of pale blue distress ink  watered down and wiped over the page with a baby wipe and white gesso.  The stamps are TH,
and old ones that have long lost their  maker's name.

Thank you for calling in today, you are always very welcome here.

I used  gesso to cover the coloured pre printed page added the birds, which were torn from a napkin.
I have yet to see a blue feathered robin.
I used my winter foliage stencil with white paste as well as some distress oxide inks., ending off with a few splashes of white paint.

I will add my Winter dairy  page to Bleubeard and Elizabeths theme
My Favourite season or Tis the season over at

Thank you for calling in today, you are always welcome here.

December's coming for Diary Day

Diary Day and  the first week in December coming ever closer.
I used similar colours         for the stencils as were on the pre-printed page.
Then I created an arty tree using strips of washi tape.
The stamped[ Kate Crane]  angel was water coloured and fussy cut.

A last page for  Erika's theme Vintage and Modern  over at
Art Journal Journey
A modern tree and fairy to start the festive month.
Erika, I have really enjoyed your theme this month
and
a huge thank you to Susi who has been linking my pages  for me this month.

Its my last piece for AEDM day 30

Shoes.....

Friday is diary day and this week I am using this fun picture taken from an old calendar.
The ladies have been out to lunch and are having a shopping trip to buy shoes.
I absolutely hate shopping for shoes  and its many a year since I bought ones with heels.
Its flat comfortable  and walking shoes that I favour these days.
The additional stencils were added using oxide inks.

I will  be adding this to.....

AEDM day 23

and

for Erika's theme  Vintage or Modern

Thank you for calling in today, you are always welcome here.

Diary Day.... Somebody Cares

Friday Diary Day......
This little lad  wants you  to  know that somebody Cares.
I  used stencils to the already printed background.
[Stamps  from ALL&Create and Paper Artsy].
I even got to draw some leaves free hand, which is quite unusual for me.

Erika's theme for this month  is Vintage or Modern at

I think  I  am following  a  Modern take on the theme  today.
With this little happy chap sending you a smile to brighten your day.

I will also be adding this to

Thank you for calling in to see me you are always welcome here.

Diary Day....... Peace and Tranquility

On Sunday it will be Remembrance  Sunday so this weeks diary spread  was simply created using a  Poppy napkin and some stencils. I will be sharing another page   on the 11th .
..........
I also used this diary page to create a hybrid tag in the digital program I use
so I could join the  folk at...
Tag Tuesday

where the theme is....Poppies

I will also share this at AEDM

Thank you for calling in to see me today, you are always very welcome here.

Diary day ........no rules

Friday is diary day, maybe I should rename this as another .... 'play day'.
I used a Jane Davenport stencil for this page
adding some stencils and colouring that matched the pre- coloured page on the right side.
I think she got a fright on Halloween night that turned her hair white.
I don't know about rules in art and as usual have ignored the ones
that may be lurking somewhere in my head .
I'll stick to experimenting and having fun.

I will also be joining  AEDM

Thank you for stopping by and I  hope you have a good day today.

Witches Brew for.... Diary Day

Oh it is Friday again  and slowly getting closer to Halloween night.

I used gesso and home mixed colours  for the base of the page, added some stencils and some random stamping.  The witch and her cat are   a fantastic die cut  that  Avril  kindly  sent  me.

I will be joining the folk over at
and Linda's theme of Creature Comforts.
Look under the mushrooms and  you will see a creature lurking there.
and joining in over at.....
Thats Crafty Challenge Blog   for the ' Spookilicious' theme
and
Stamps and Stencils  for their Spooky Fun with an Autumnal Twist

I am also  adding a reminder for the current Try it on Tuesdays
challenge theme.... Trick or Treat ..... there is still a few more days  for you to join us .
.............................

Now for something really different from me

I have a small Kraft card journal, bought in a well known bargain shop here in the UK.  the page size is  nearly 6 inches square.    After my efforts with the black last week I decided to give it an outing.
I used the gesso as a wash stamped a flower on some teabag paper  added some scrap material and word stamps[ Lynne's Affirmation. Stamps and ALL&Create] .
  Lynne's blog is inspiring.
The additional colours were distress oxides.  I think I will be trying
this kind of page again soon.

Thank you for calling in today, you are always welcome here.

Something wicked for... Diary Day and a bit of a mess.

Its Friday  and Diary day, these weeks seem to be flying by.

I'm in Halloween mode again with these wonderful creatures in bottles [Paper Artsy]
The background is as usual stencils, coloured with oxide inks.
I coloured my creatures with water colours.

I will be sharing this at ...
and Linda's theme of Creature Comforts.

I have also  managed to have time to  'play'  in my craft room today  using  a journal
 with black pages.
I thought it was a good idea to have  black pages, but soon realised  that for me to use them it would involve a lot of white gesso. I might try stamping with white paint sometime as well.

I didn't want to cover all the page and I still wanted to use stencils and some random stamping.
Oxide inks seemed to work, by this time I was in a happy mess and about to tear out the pages as  I had managed to get a hole in the page on the right, when  I tried to blend some colours with my fingers.

I stamped an image to  cover  it over  using washi tape to keep it in place,
even she is not guaranteed to remain  on this page.

This is still very much work in progress, but for now I did have an option
and that was to go to the computer
and complete a  spread that I am happy with,  in the digital program I use..

Thank you for stopping by, your comments are always appreciated.

Things that go Bump in the night for ..... Diary day

 Friday..... is diary day
It's getting near Halloween and I can see it getting more popular here in the UK
as the years roll on by.
So I thought my diary pages for the rest of the month   would reflect this time of the year.
It was a pre- coloured page in shades of grey and did have some printed flowers.  Just the right moody colours. I added stencils as usual using distress inks, coloured the flowers and  tried to give a few a scared, startled  look. .
The skeleton's head and crown are All&create stamps.  I did give them a bit of a  hair do [grin], so they looked a bit smarter  for their night out.

I will join the folk at Art Journal Journey

and Linda's theme Creature Comforts
as this page does have  creatures that I wouldn't want to meet on a dark night.

Thank you for calling in to see me today.
I hope you all have a good weekend.

Friday is ....Diary Day

Friday is Diary Day
and here we are with less than  three months left of 2018 .
.
I decided to use  the pre-coloured page as it looked abstract and I knew it would work with  some of my stencils. I used distress oxides   as I could get close matches to the  printed colours.   The center image  was printed onto tissue and  the other additions were stamped
.[Many were All&create stamps].

Thank you for stopping by today, you are always very welcome here.

Friday is diary day

Friday's diary day
and as you can see it is created in my usual way.

Lots of white gesso was involved in trying to cover the pre printed page. I used a variety of napkins a Jane Davenport girl and the usual stencils.
In my thoughts imagination and fantasy have a way of colliding so I will be sharing my diary spread over at
Art Journal Journey
where I  have been hosting this months theme...
A world of Fantasy

I would like to think that this group of images are having a  conversation today. What they would be talking about ......
would be a pure guess.
Thank you for calling in to see me today.
You are always most welcome here.

Friday is diary day

Friday's diary......
Believe in your dreams ......
As I was creating this page I realised that we are  nearly three quarters of the way through the year.
Now that's a scary thought.
These stamps I have had a while and I cannot remember  who created them. I stamped and coloured them on rice paper as I had an already rather colourful pre printed  background to use.
Next up came the stencils shaded with distress oxides.

One of the tales my gran used to tell me was that there was a man who lived in the moon and when shutting the curtains we had to say goodnight.
Well that would not be correct these days as equally it could lave been a lady.
Who ever lived there  in my childhood fantasies has  been proved to be  untrue  over the years .
But.... we can all still dream.
I will be adding this spread to the theme at
where I happy to be hosting this month's theme.
A world of fantasy

Thank you for calling in to see me , I hope you all have a good day.

Diary Day week 37... Paris

Dairy  Day......... and I am  taking a trip to Paris.
Pure Fantasy  and dreams on my part,
but this is a  city I have visited in the past and the memories   are still with me now.

Again stencils feature on my pages and I reach for my favourite Distress ink pads for colouring.
The stamps are mainly AA&Create, but I am unsure where the cyclist  came from
The original base page colour was grey

I think dreams and fantasy collide in many of us so, I will be popping over to

to add this journal diary spread there.
I am so thrilled that folk are enjoying the theme..A world of Fantasy.. I chose for the month.
The inspiration  from  everyone is awesome.

Thank you for visiting me today, you are always most welcome here.

Diary Day ....week 36... and a Tag

I admit that my weirdness is above the National average.
But I am comfortable with that.

Here are my diary pages for next week.
I added more colour and splashes to an already coloured right hand page adding stencils to cross to the plain side  of the spread.
Next I stamped the bottle [ALL&Create]  onto tissue paper   eventually found the bird, that I thought would add to the  story.  I don't think the poor thing can believe what it is seeing in the bottle .

This page also fits  with my Art Journal Journey theme for this month

A World of Fantasy.

-------------------------------------------
Now for a Tag,
its a while since I have entered the  challenge over at
Tag Tuesdays
the theme is Time/Clocks
This is a digital tag on one of my own base tags.
I always seem to be seeking more hours in the day , which brings me to thinking that this in itself,  is not important. Its the passing  moments that are to be valued and cherished.

Thank you for stopping by, your comments and visit are very much appreciated.

Diary Day ..... week 35 and a right mess

Diary day.... week 35

This page  started off in a right mess, I'd used gesso and ink pads to try and cover the pre-printed background. I had no idea  how it would turn out.
I used a few scraps of printed tissue  and some die cuts and as usual a stencil to take it over to  the opposite page.

Not all my ideas go to plan, but I count it as a blessing that I can now  get into my craftroom and get the paints out and enjoy  some messy down time.
So for one last time this month I will join
Bleaubeard and Elizabeths theme over at
where for August they  asked us to
'Count your Blessings'.

I have so enjoyed this theme  and thank you for getting me to count my blessings this past month .

Let your spirit fly ...Diary Day.... week 34

Diary Day week 34
Lots of stencils and blue inks went into the creating of this weeks diary.
The additions are torn Jane Davenport collage tissue.
This is a scheduled post,  if all goes well we will be  at one of the regular Land Rover gatherings
 the family enjoy going to.
There will be no sea, plenty of sky, lovely views , with  freedom and space  for the grown up members of the families who enjoy these  events to left their spirits fly.
Now I mean carefully as often the Land rovers do fly over bumps
and can be prone to colliding with trees etc.

Should they touch the sea, or see a mermaid they will be miles off route and properly lost.

I add a blessing here today that they stay safe, enjoy the freedom their hobby brings them. For me it is the thankfulness for the loving community of friends we have made over the years.

Thank you for stopping by you are very welcome here and I hope you have a good weekend.

Take time to Dream.......Diary day week 33

Friday is Diary Day week 33......

For this page I only added some stencils at the beginning,  as I quite liked the colours of the
 pre- printed page.
A fussy cut  lady [Jane Davenport]  and pieces torn from a napkin came next.
I think we all should take time to sit , relax and maybe  dream a bit. It is so easy to rush around, going from one place or situation to another.
then,  maybe later in the day thinking we have  missed something that would have been far more important to us at the time. We cannot turn back the clock, but hopefully we can   find time  to recall those precious moments.

I will join friends over at Art Journal Journey
where Bleubeard and Elizabeth are hosting this months theme
Count your Blessings
Time is a blessing we should not take for granted, use it wisely.

Thank you for calling in today, you are always very welcome here.
