Autumn Blessings...... at TioT's

The new challenge theme for the next two weeks at Try it on Tuesdays is....

Autumn Blessings.

I have created a hybrid journal page

with a random stamped leaf background and added digital images.

I am lucky to live close to woodland and the countryside,  to see the leaves changing colour and knowing that the trees are shedding their bounty for the animals to store for winter id truly one of autumns blessings.

We hope you will join us at TioT's. please pop over to see how we have interpreted this theme.

Remember when....

I'm sure fashion styles have been talked about for many, many years,

these two sure  could be planning a  trip down memory lane

and wondering what they should wear on their next night out.

This is a digital journal  page [notes in my sidebar]

for Wendy's  'Vintage'  theme

over at Art Journal Journey

A short post  today, I still struggle to  find my crafting mojo,

days seem to blend into each other, but I keep giving myself a talking to

and hope tomorrow will be better.

However you spend your day I hope it will be a good one for you.

Going Round in Circles at..... TioT's

'Going Round in Circles'...

is the new challenge theme over at Try it on Tuesdays

I have made a layered , circular shaped Birthday card for the new theme.

A splashed and splattered background, with a stamped and coloured flower image.

The butterflies and words are  computer generated.

After  taking a photo  and loading it into the digital program I use on my computer I  created this journal page with lots of  layered circles onto a dotty stencilled background

We hope you will join us at TioT's and look forward to seeing how you interpret this new theme.

Vintage..... at Art Journal Journey

September and a new theme

Vintage

has been chosen for us by Wendy K from...Wendy's Art and  Craft Journal

our Host for this month.

Please call over to  the Art Journal Journey   blog

to get all the information and the guidance Wendy has shared with us for the theme.

For my journal page I have gone down the vintage  fashion style route,

following two sisters wearing   their  Sunday best dresses as children,

to growing up and wearing fashionable  outfits . going out

to meet with their friends.

I imagine they will have lots of stories to tell as they get older about the clothes they used to wear.

I used TH relatives for my  girls.

The background of the page is a mop up one in my Kraft card journal , I even used a few scraps of washi tape to try to create some steps for them to stand on.

Thank you for calling in today, you are very welcome here.

Use Book Pages at TioT's

A new theme begins today over at Try it on Tuesdays

'Use Book Pages'.

An page torn from an old book which I purchased some time ago in a Charity shop

was the starting point for this journal page.

The edges  of the pages had torn  and they  discoloured naturally over time. I didn't even have to shade the edges simply paste it down into my Kraft journal. I did however take a short cut and add the flowers and jar from the digital  computer program I use

We hope you will join us at TioT's.

Please pop over to find all the details and see how the TioT gang

have interpreted this new challenge theme.

However you spend your day I hope it will be a good one for you.

Summer Blooms..... at TioT's

The    new  theme at Try it on Tuesdays is

Summer Blooms.

We hope you will join us there,

please pop over to see how the TioT's gang interpreted the theme

and to get all the information.

I chose to create a journal page as the title of this new theme had me thinking of childhood,  when  remembered summer days were always warm and sunny. Playing at my  grandparents house  with my cousin and picking flowers   that maybe we shouldn't be doing when there were so many pretty wild flowers just over the fence.

I used a hands on journal page as my starting point, with texture paste, stencils, die cuts, found relatives [TH] and a piece of a torn napkin. The additional flowers and dogs were added in the computer program I  use.

A short post to share a journal page  at Art Journal Journey

and the theme Neet chose for us this month... Type

For the background I used an old letter and number stencil,

dropped paint onto the page that didn't go where I had hoped, so  it is still work in progress.

However with the aid of my digital computer program  I was able to create this page.

Layers and scraps  with different type fonts

made  what looks like a happy face to me.

Homemade Memories

Feelings are often hard to put into words but if we note or type those words they will be remembered for a very long time.

However you spend your day I hope it will be a happy one for you.
