I layered up a lot of digital backgrounds, before adding these  flower fairies.

Wouldn't these be fun to see in our garden borders.

Just Flowers for AJJ

I am  sharing with you my  attempts

at painting a couple of flowers, lots of paint and  eventually digital additions

My  theme choice for July ....

  In my garden there is...... a few wild flowers

This is how it all began, with my free magazine and the trusty scissors

The pages trimmed and stuck down in my  8 x8 inch journal.

I would love to have more  wild flowers in my garden.

Things were not  going well at this stage,    I got out the spray paints,
 spilled  the yellow and had to mop up the bench,

and pages, by which time they decided curly was the look of the day.

Things wouldn't get much worse,  so, have a go and paint a flower or two.

I nearly didn't show you the pages at this stage, before they had the digital additions,

but, I felt you needed a smile at my very  basic  creations.

I love seeing the hedgehogs in our garden in the evenings. even Meg is used  to their visits
 and doesn't bark a them any more.

Make us Smile

is the new challenge theme over at Try it on Tuesdays.

They say laughter is one of the best medicines,

 so the girls are hoping you will join the fun and create  something to make us smile.

Always useful to have one handy. if you know someone who needs cheering up.

They are also easy to send off in an email, much quicker and cost effective. than our postal system.

I created this in a digital program using all my usual resources.

Happy Birthday,

 I am so pleased to have found you all and thank you for making me most welcome.

Elizabeth asked folk to make ATC's this time.

 This  ATC  is digital,  using images from  the page  version, 

 I won't be able to join the swap this year, but I am so looking forward to seeing
 the ATC' s  everyone makes.

Now what  am I up to on my work desk,

it really needs a tidy up as my space is getting much smaller as the days pass by.

A free magazine, where I have found lots of things to cut out recently.

But of course there is the  [ sorry,  half finished,]

 cup of Cappuccino,

my celebratory drink , I am sharing with you all.

Harvest for AJJ

In my Garden its............. Harvest time.

Well if I had a veggie patch this would be true.

However we do grow herbs and Lettuce and we have the apple trees,

 but even they have decided to take a rest this year.

I have once again used a page and cut outs from a free gardening magazine.

Also some die cut wild flowers , with the background

 on the right having been sprayed  and random stamped.

Were you ever told that fairies lived in your garden when you were young?

If we found a mushroom under the trees , we were told that it was where the fairies lived.

Back then,  we played in our world of make believe,

were content, happy and didn't know how our lives would change as we grew up.

There is so much sadness in our world, you turn on the news and something else has happened

that effects peoples lives.

So today my page reflects 

 a moment, in my garden,

when  time stood still for a while....., to be happy.

Rabbits wishes.... for AJJ

In my garden there are......................rabbits
A  journal spread  for
 Art Journal Journey

with a few added digital images after taking the photos

The original  journal page was sprayed and mopped with water colours. I then added a rabbit stencil [Clarity].

The base layer is one of my own  inky sprayed  pages.

There is nothing more tasty to tempt a rabbit into your garden than a veggie patch, My rabbit is dreaming of his favourite seeds that he would like the gardener to plant.

 In case you wonder we have  rabbits, close to out home
. The fields and woods are just a few steps away.
 But this little one in the photo below, was a regular visitor to us when we were away last week.
 It watched us from under the hedge and we watched from the caravan
