The Wendy House

Did you have a Wendy house or a secret den in your garden?
I remember well gran, putting a large quilt over a table to me to use as my hide away.
I wonder what  adventure Wendy will be going on today,  when she opens the door to her secret world.
She has her bag packed with treasures and her teddy tucked under her arm.
Two of Teddy's friends are waiting to welcome  them,
they cannot wait for the magic and make believe, to begin.
A digital page created using Mischief Circus kits.
I used the prompt  given for this week over at
which is Doors/ Doorways to get my ideas flowing when I created this page.

Thank you for calling to see me today, I always appreciate the comments you leave me.

What happened next?

Many years ago I  tried Parchment  crafts, with no joy what so ever.
Then the talented Barbara Gray introduced Groovi Plates to the craft world.
Quite a revolutionary system and easy to use????
My family decided to buy me a few plates  for Christmas, which was great. But how was I to use them in my
journals etc. So here is one of my first attempts.
A splashed and inky brusho background, and some random stamps.

A photo taken  and off to the computer to  have  a digital play

This could be my last contribution for this month  over at
  Art Journal Journey
as the current theme  Winter Wonderland ends soon.
Chrissie it was a great theme you chose and the inspiration by all the folk over there is fantastic.

Now if you are still with me,  these are my final additions to the page
More colour added, I used a sponge and not a brush, much more fun. A little stencilling spread with some gilding wax when it was dry. The butterfly was lurking under a book.
So this page has moved on  to the glowing days of summer.
Well we can all dream.........it will come soon.

Thank you for stopping by to see me today,

Pretty as a Picture

A digital creation again today, this time for a challenge that I have seen ,
when I have been visiting blog friends posts
Take a Word, the theme is Frames.
I used Mischief Circus kits and assembled this in my  Craft Studio.

Yesterday I added a digital punch to my page and a few friends asked about it.
I can only say that it is part of the program  and something I have just begun to explore.
For fun this is one of my dabbling about pieces. Its a clever tool
and you can use the outside or the inside of the shape.
No wasting of papers either when experimenting on the computer.

Thank you for stopping by to see me today, the comments you leave for me are always appreciated.

With Love

June's Cheeky Challenge theme this week over at
is Valentines-Love
Somehow this theme in my mind is associated with using the colour red.
But this is  the first page  I made....... in blues.

I had a play using a digital punch to cut  the couple out in a heart shape.
I used my Craft Studio to create these  pages using elements from Dezinaworld,
Mischief Circus kits and my own stored images.

Thank you for stopping by to see me today, I always appreciate the comments you leave for me.

Best Day Ever

The Silhouette challenge over at Try it on Tuesdays
still has another week for you to join in the fun.
This card was made using a few layers
with some distressing around the edges [i.e. using a pair of old blunt scissors].

Last Tuesday I showed you a digital card
 using this hand made topper.
So in true crafter's style of not wasting anything,
it is now  the top layer of my card.

I used a very old stamps around the edges
and embossed this with silver powder.

Last week this little girl just wanted to fly away,
this week she is having  the
 'best day ever'.

Thank you for taking time to call and see me today.
I do so appreciated the comments you leave.

The garden visitor

I think a bit of everything has been added to this page .
Mop ups, brusho powders, a  winter snow scene torn from a magazine.
a scrap  piece of  embossed stone wall

A white embossing powder spill was not wasted, just spread around with my fingers before it was heated and I couldn't resist a sprinkle of glitter.
This unfinished page started a few days ago is probably true to the colours I used.
Its very dull and grey  here and yet again a good photo was hard to take.
Of course I had to add a winter visitor, robins are regular's to my garden.
[The stamps used are Stampers Anonymous.]

My robin is off to visit with the folk over at Art Journal Journey
January's theme is Winter Wonderland.

Molly's Secret Garden

Wild Flowers is the theme for this week over at
Dezinaworld' 's Cheeky Challenge.
This digital page reflects my love of  wild flowers.
If I had  had a secret garden, you would have found me sitting with a good book,
in pleasant surroundings . enjoying the peace and tranquility just like Molly..
[Images used from Mischief Circus kits and my Craft Studio].
