A trip to the dark side on All Hallows Eve

This page was created with digital images  in MCS  from a Mischief Circus set
and  a  found  photo of a terrace of houses.
It is for  my  10 x 7 inch journal and will be printed out as soon as the printer decides
it likes doing what I ask it to do today..

This was the photo I used and some of the images.
The quote is one of Edgar Allan Poe's.

I hope this is not too scary for the girls at Art Journal Journey,
where this months theme hosted by Sheila  is............
 Architecture.
I have to admit I  prefer  the row of terraced houses in colour, but as I said ...
its a trip to the dark side of Halloween.

Thank you for stopping by, your comments are always appreciated.

Layers and papers with flowers for you.

Our new challenge over at Try it on Tuesdays  is to use
''Lots of Layers''.
There are some fantastic examples  showing how we all interpreted this theme
and the types of  layers we used.
Please pop over and have a look and get all the details.
I chose to use matting and layering for my card. using graphics 45 papers and coloured card stock.
The edges were roughed up using  my trusty blunt scissors
and  given a wipe with good old Vintage Photo distress ink.
Some burlap  flowers and snippets  were my added extras.

Thank you for stopping by to see me today, I always appreciate your comments.

When I grow up I want to be..................

A  mainly digital collage page today,
with Lizzie who would love to be an Architect when she grows up.
She dreams of becoming famous and designing tall buildings.
Its good to have dreams.

Lizzie is going off to visit with
Art Journal Journey
where Sheila is hosting this months theme of
Architecture

This is where it all began with a water coloured image.
Sorry I don't know the maker, my unmounted stamps  always seem to end up without the original wrapping.
I took a photo, then  used my Craft Studio program with some stored free images to create this page.

Thank you for stopping by to see me today, i always appreciate the comments you leave.

Claude and Isobelle

Another journal spread with the added addition of some digital extras.
Most of these are from Mischief Circus.
I think Isobelle is quite upset when she sees Claude's latest painting.
She tells him that she always looked beautiful in the paintings he did when they were young and alive.

This is how it all began. A sprayed ink background, home made purples and black.
A selection of Tim Holtz stencils , I used modelling paste with the Cracked glass one on the left side of the page.
The two skeletons were also a stencil  from Artistcellar.

There is still another week  for you to join the Halloween fun at Try it on Tuesdays, hope you can join us.

Thank you for taking time to call and see what I have been making,
 your comments are always appreciated.

Butch and Mimi

Been having a playday today using some new stamps that slipped into my basket
when I was in Yorkshire recently.
This happy, handsome  couple comes  from a new  Dylusions set. Their legs from an old set.
It was a sprayed ink background self mixed,  using Turquoise Brusho powder.
A variety of stencils Tim Holtz and  new mini stencils from Thats Crafty.
I did use distress inks for most  these and  modelling paste  on the Damask,  I rubbed it over with gold gilding wax when it dried..
The quote along the bottom reads....
''me and you stuck like glue'',
if these two ever had an argument, I think Mimi would come out tops.

This is how they looked when I had a play with the photo I took , adding some digi elements.

.

Thank you for stopping by to see me today, I always appreciate the comments you leave for me.

A night to remember for AJJ

Hannah has had quite a night  on the town celebrating a significant birthday with her friends.
As it is near Halloween the City is getting ready for the event.
The local witch is testing her broom
and the Ghost ship is just about to dock at the quay.
She has taken this photo to add to her album of memories.

This digital page started off with   photos  of the area, taken at night,
in  Newcastle upon Tyne,
with added stored digital elements and colour changes.
taken on the Quayside. It shows a number of its many bridges.

Architecture.....
is the theme this month at Art Journal Journey

This photo taken  when the Tyne bridge was being built ...

A Royal opening by King George V .... in 1928

It was a bustling busy place for shipping back then.
In 2015 there  is a total of 7 bridges to take you across the  river Tyne
in the space of one mile

Now the quayside  is a popular place for dining  in the many restaurants
and  to meet with friends for a social night out.

Higher up the River Tyne is this single carriage way bridge at Newburn
built in 1893 and is the nearest bridge to where we live,  for crossing the river

Thank you for visiting me today , I hope you liked seeing  the old photos.
