Springtime Greens

I've gone green today for this page in my 8 x 8 inch journal.
How green it looked in my garden after the snow had melted away, signs of new beginnings and maybe...... Spring on its way at last.
The background  had been  splashed by accident  and I had already decided on
 stencils  to create trees,
together with the silhouette  stamp for the foreground.
There is actually some un-inked areas, very unusual for me.

On the right is the page in my journal, the 'Springtime' element
top left is a digital addition. I did stay with shades of green apart from the hand stencil I used  to represent a  tree trunk.

I will be adding this page to
and Rosie's theme....Spring.
also
I think it will fit the new theme at
Colour-Effect.

Thank you for calling in to see me today,
you are always welcome here.

  3. I love the Hand trunk - this is amazing and the white and all the different greens make such a beautiful composition! Really AMAZING! Yes now spring is on it's way - we got warmer weather, sushine and the snow melts like butter on warm toast. Isn't that wonderful?! You pages is a pleasure for soul and eyes after this cold weather! And I am so pleased to see it linked to Art Journal Journey and Moo Mania & More at once! Yeah!
    Have a nice evening Yvonne!

  4. Beautiful springtime page. A great idea to use the hand stencil for a tree trunk, I hadn't noticed until I read down. We had a lovely sunny day today but outside the wind still felt very wintry.

  8. Using hearts as leaves is really cool! I am all about green right now, maybe just because I am so desperate to see some outside. Our grass hasn't greened up yet and now we have a thick layer of snow. Oh no! So your green page is really enjoyable. Hugs-Erika

  13. What a wonderful tree, really love the concept of the arm/hand as the tree trunk that reminds me of the fact that the sap will soon be rising and bringing forth all the myriad greens that we see in springtime.

  16. Cool idea to use a hand as a tree trunk and hearts as leaves! Your different greens are lovely - they really look like spring we all want to have soon. But we have icy cold eastwind and very cold temperatures this weekend :-(
