Cuppas with friends, visits and reminders.

Hello everyone who calls in to see me today,
you are all very welcome  here.

This post has quite a few photos , so I am starting off by saying hello to friends at
who host  T stands for Tuesday, where we are all made welcome with a drinks related post.

In my digital page, I have used a png image of a fantastic sunset on a mug,
which Valerie has kindly shared and allowed us to use.

I have many photos that need to be sorted through on my computer, I say for a while today and compiled a few to show you today
Earlier this month we had visited Aydon Castle in Northumberland an English Heritage site
a short distance from our home.

Most of the walls are still standing, which is quite unusual with this castles history. I added a link  for you , if you wanted to read a little about it.

Inside the courtyard,
looking closely at the stonework you can see where it had been on to over the years.

Very bare inside ,but this roof looked awesome.

We were able to walk around part of the walls and I enjoyed taking an archers view through the slits in the walls. There was also an enclosed orchard [top right] .
These were a few photos outside the walls.
I needed a cuppa after this session editing, but as often happens it was cold before it got round to it,

Now a quick reminder for the current Try it on Tuesdays theme...
Letters and Numbers, which has another week to run.

Now a quick reminder for the current theme
Letters and Numbers over at Try it on Tuesdays.
I made another digital journal page
and had a lot of fun.

Thank you all for stopping by and I hope you all have a lovely day

Information about my digital pages can be
found in my side bar.

  1. Both pages are wonderful Yvonne, and that little mouse on the ink-well is such a sweet touch. Glad you could use the mug of sunshine, it looks great on your wonderful page. The castle seems to be a great place to visit, so I will follow the link and read it up, as I have never heard of it before. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

  2. Both of your pages are wonderful Yvonne and the place you visited has lots of interest and I wished we had visited when we were quite close to there a few years ago. Maybe we should go back to that area again. Thank you for sharing the photographs

  4. First, I want to thank you for sharing your visit to Aydon Castle. What amazing photos you shared of both the inside and grounds. I'm overwhelmed that this castle has not been razed, the land sold, and parsed into hundreds of condos/flats. I guess that's the beauty of being a Heritage Site.

LOVE your TioT entry. That is a wonderful school memory. I love your digital skills.

Thanks for sharing your incredible digital mug, your lovely digital TioT entry, and your tea mug as you sorted photos from Aydon Castle with us for T this Tuesday. I look forward to seeing more of this castle.

  17. Love both art pieces today!!! The castle is amazing. Since we are such a young country compared to Europe we don't have many castles to visit and what we do have are no where near as old. I have always been fascinated by castles. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such lovely comments ♥

  22. Old castles are very cool and that is one thing we don't have here in the US at all. I love seeing the photos and wondering what life was like for people living in and around the castle way back when. And your T day page and TIOT pages are great. I love the sunrise and the mug. That could be a great ad for a coffee company I think. Hope all is well and it was a wonderful T day, Hugs-Erika
