Remembrance Day

It is Remembrance  Day  here in the UK.
Folk will stop what they are doing at 11 a.m. and keep a two minute silence.

Time to reflect and remember
the  men and  women from  all the countries of our world.
Who, throughout the years past and present ,
served their countries
and  gave  their lives
for the freedom and safety of others..

  3. I had a little walk through your latest blogposts and you gave me inspiration by your many colourful creations and the many styles and items I saw in the posts. Always nice to make a blogwalk like this....ending at the lovely poppy card...or is it poppie....lol....sometimes it's difficult in english but I am sure you will understand.I love the beautiful red color from the flower and the sentiment on your card. Always good to remember...some things may never be forgotten.
    Have a lovely weekend.....xxx Plony

  4. Absolutely gorgeous! It's not even 10 am here, but I will stop at 11 and remember as I always do. I will even wear a watch because Sally and I are headed to the zoo. That way I will know, unless there is some announcement.

  13. This is really lovely, Yvonne. I like the soft greens setting off the red of the poppy.
We were in a library at 11 o'clock and they sounded a loud hand-bell.
