Made using images
from Mischief Circus kits
as well as my own
 and stored images,

Thank you for stopping by to see me today, your comments are always appreciated.

Join me for a coffee today

Hello and welcome to the folk who call in to see me  today.
Its Tuesday, so it just has to be T day over at

Those of you who visit with me know my preferred brew is Tea.
But when I saw the latest freebie magazine in the supermarket, I  just had to get cutting out to make this collage page which may appeal to those of you, whose brew of choice...... is coffee.

As I was having a bit of a rant at the latest changes  to behind the scenes with Blogger....her Ladyship  was my choice of mug .

How are you all finding the changes?

It seems to be  taking me ages to access my Reading List  and I don't really need to see my own post lists each time either.

I wonder if they ever ask, the folk who do Blog for an opinion.
However like most things we have to get used to change
and no doubt the folk behind the scenes think this is all, a very good  way forward.
So I will not say any more about it....for now.

I will share the  collage with friends at
where there is only a couple of more days to join Susi's theme for the month..

Happy T day and thank you for stopping by.

Bits and pieces for AJJ

Where is November going and only a few more days to join the fun over at
where Susi's theme for this month has really made me stop and
think what I am adding to my journal pages....
Collage with a twist...no faces, wings or leaves.

Scraps old an old map and embossed paper, went on top a a mop up page.
I had a packet of stamped pieces and was able to find these ones that seem to go with a map, but  my pages take a life of their own and I have to make myself stop before adding more.
Additional shading was distressed ink.
These pieces were never meant to go together, but it seems to have worked out
 on a collage page.

Thank you for calling in to see me today, your visit is much appreciated.

Thursday 24 November 2016

A special day to share some love.

Happy Thanksgiving
to all my Blog friends who celebrate  this special day.
Made  from
Mischief Circus kits
 and my own stored images.,

*********************

I have been on a Christmas card making target these past few days,
but as always the best laid  plans  don't always work out .
A few interruptions  were all I needed to turn to my journal and have a play.

This page had been waiting for more attention since last week.
The first  photo was taken on a dull day, so I just added a bit more shading, using a tissue dipped in a puddle of paint.
A search in the box unearthed the hearts corrugated and gem shaped one, plus a frame and key.
I stencilled the letters. and added a computer generated quote.
So another page completed and a rest from card making.

I will join in again at
where Susi's theme for the month is Collage with a Twist.. no faces, wings or leaves.

I'm not sure if I have been on the right track with my  pages this month ,
but they are my idea of a collage,  I have never started off with any thoughts of  a completed page.
Slapped on paint and bits and pieces from my stash,, a bit of texture.
 played with stencils for backgrounds
and had a great time.,  I have really enjoyed Susi's challenge.

Thank you for calling in to see me today, you are very welcome
and your comments are always appreciated..

Layer it up at TioT's

Layer it up is the new challenge theme for
  Try it on Tuesdays
An opportunity to see how many layers we can add to our project or card.
Please call over to TioT's to see how the girls all interpreted this theme.

I started off with a canvas card topper.  which was  included in a packet of bits and pieces, sent by a friend.

The first 6  layers, plus the 4 horizontal strips,
 all plain cut,
you can see layered on the left.
This was all placed on a large card blank base and I added some die cut water coloured wild flowers.

As this was a card  I decided to make myself a
digital version after the photos were taken
The words on the canvas are easier to read after I enlarged the card.

Digital additions from Mischief Circus kits
and my own store images.

Thank you for calling in to see me today,  your comments are always appreciated.

If you have called in for T this Tuesday,
please scroll down to my earlier post

Kirkharle and Tea with friends

Have you every had days, when all the plans
 you started out  to do
 just flew away....
This last weekend has been just like that for us....
Saturday.... A visit to
Kirkharle Courtyard

Kirkharle village is  where Capability Brown was born.
There is now a complex of small artisan shops,  and a tea room
and lovely country side walks in the area,,,

This building housed a few of the small shops, last time we went they were all open, a sign of the times with only 2  open. when we visited today.

This green door leads to the cafe.  The cafe,  not fully open for the day  and as you can see it was another grey N.E. English day.
We decided to take a few photos and head back home.

The pump stands  near  the center of the courtyard and no doubt would possibly still work   if,  labour and money were spent

Some one with a sense of humour had parked up this rusty bike in the shrubbery.

A view over the fields to  a lovely working farm, its that the weather getting better. ?

No, that's  storm clouds about to roll over the hill,
even the sheep were not impressed.
A wise idea to head off ........
Home..... to sit in the warm and watch the end of the year Tennis World  championships on TV.

Sunday Morning
Maybe a bit of crafting and finish off a few Christmas cards.

I have kept to a  CAS style for many of my cards this year, especially those that have to be posted.

In case you wonder,
I was very careful  with my  cup of tea, it stays well out of the way, but I did want to share with you a photo my winter Robin mug.

Sunday afternoon was spent preparing for the family meal.
My Sunday ended  with us allwatching the Tennis finals, with   Andy Murray winning the title.

Another weekend flew by.

A warm welcome to all the friends who stop by from
Bleubeard and Elizabeth's
where on Tuesdays its T Day

Thank you all for calling in today, your comments are always appreciated.

Time to be thankful

''Capture the moment so it will be last forever.''

Well I don't often share my terrible handwriting so this must be a captive moment for me.
This is the page resides in my  8 x 8 inch journal with its added random stamping
 and extra colour shades.

This is how the page began.
with a shaded pastel background,
 then torn strips of papers
Another clock face, this is the last one of these dies that  was cut and waiting to be used

Now for the hybrid page , with its digital alterations,  after I loaded the above photo into  the computer.
More paint shading, a couple of pointing fingers .

A big sigh from me , with  the quote added in a more acceptable way for me to be happy about.

Another page for Art Journal Journey,

where Susi's theme for this month is Collage with a twist,
No faces, leaves or wings.

Thank you for taking time to call in to see me,
 your comments are always appreciated.

A stencil collage for AJJ

This collage page has  a few stencils for the background. also mop up paints
I didn't have any ideas in mind at the beginning
and close up it didn't look like anything but random bits and pieces.
I left it and when I went back I thought it looked a bit like a country side scene.
A bit more smudged on paint,
the stencil of the children and die cut  hearts ,
added  words from the computer and I decided to stop.

I hope this will be okay for the folk at

and Susi's theme of Collage with the three no. no. no's.
All my trees are bare, not a leaf in sight.

Thank you for calling in to see me today, you are always welcome and your comments are appreciated.

Tuesday 15 November 2016

A journal page, a day out and tea.

First of all I am sharing this collage page, made for
where this time Susi has added a twist to her theme, no wings, leaves or faces

I started off with a page I had been colouring in.
It wasn't something I was happy with,
but I am getting into the colouring mode,
it keeps the hands active.
I had a base layer prepared  and photo saved.
So with a bit of digital trimming
and added bits and pieces, it ended as the fun collage you see above.

Which take me to my next topic,
 a  visit to............

Belsay Hall
The hall is about 12 miles from where we live, its gardens are lovely  all year round.
However it is completely empty inside, making it an ideal place for events.
This past weekend it held a Festive gift fair.
Sadly I was unable to get any photos of the stalls,
poor lighting and stall holders who were not happy at the idea of photos being taken.
So I will share a few I managed to get in  the gardens

The weather wasn't friendly either

Sunshine and showers were the order of the day

No one wanted to sit out today and neither did we.

The stable block was bathed in sunshine as were leaving

This is the digital  collage page I made to remind us of our day out
and to share with friends over at

I love a cream tea, its a real treat,
but I often  hear the question of how do you load your scone.
Is it butter, jam, cream. or. cream then jam. or jam  them cream?
For me it has to be jam then cream.

Thank you for calling in, you are very welcome and I hope you all have a Happy Day today.

Trees are Blue

The current challenge theme at
is Trees are Green or Any other colour.
There is still another week for you to pop over and join us.
This is a digital card made using images from Mischief Circus kits as well as my own found  and stored stash.

Thank you for calling in today, you are very welcome.

A moment in time....Collage for AJJ

A collage journal page for
where Susi, has added a twist to the theme.....
Collage.... no wings, faces or leaves are allowed.

Folk who visit me will recognise the  base layer, I used it a few days ago with a hybrid page.

I added more layers of paint to tone down the blue shades, then had a look through the bits box to see what else could be used.
Some die cut cogs and a clock, smeared with gold gilding wax and a couple of stamped images. The quote is computer generated, but the letters also came from the box.

Thank you for calling in to see me today, your comments are always appreciated.

Remembrance Day

It is Remembrance  Day  here in the UK.
Folk will stop what they are doing at 11 a.m. and keep a two minute silence.

Time to reflect and remember
the  men and  women from  all the countries of our world.
Who, throughout the years past and present ,
served their countries
and  gave  their lives
for the freedom and safety of others..

Keep fit for AJJ

A hybrid, mixed media page for
for Susi's,,,,,,,,, Collage theme and the twist of not to using , faces, wings or leaves.
[I hope I have managed to blank out all the facial features]

This is the base journal page, layers of paper scraps,
some texture added through a stencil, randomly painted with a light colour wash using acrylic paint.

With this saved as a photo, I was able to give it a digital colour change and add some collaged images.

As a family we enjoy cycling.
OH and myself watch it on TV these days, but we have been lucky to see some of the Tour de France stages live
 over the years.
So my page is for all the cyclists including our sons, who get  on their bikes, enjoy  being out doors and pedal many miles
for pleasure as well as keeping fit.

Thank you Valerie for the prompt.

I will join in at Moo Mania and More where the theme is
Wheels

Thank you for stopping by, your comments are always appreciated.

Digital additions from
Mischief Circus kits
and my own stored images.

Trees are Green or any other colour for TioT's

Only a few more weeks to prepare for the Christmas festivities.
The new challenge at Try it on Tuesday is called....
''Trees are Green or any other colour.''
A good opportunity to make some cards featuring trees.

I did use  digital backgrounds  and other digital images for the base of this card.
A selection of cut out trees,
which were made with  recycled corrugated  card, some left over pieces from my own made backgrounds.
I now have a number of trees to make more similar cards for Christmas.

I hope you will pop over to see what the team have been making and we look forward to seeing your tree themed cards.

Thank you for calling in to see me today, you are very welcome here.

If you have called in for a cuppa  on T Day,
please scroll down to my earlier post

Lets Party

A Collage page for

and  Susi's  super theme  of Collage with a twist,,no faces, leaves or wings,
The base was simply coloured,  scraps of parer, cut out food pictures and some snippets of materials were used for the collage. Words added on the computer.

As its also Tuesday and I am off to visit with friends at

T stands for Tuesday
I will share the photo  of my desk as I was doing  cutting out  before assembling the page.

The brew was close by  and have to admit to feeling a little hungry cutting out the pictures I used.
Our Supermarkets here give away colour magazines at the checkouts, to promote their products.
This one was filled with Christmas foods.
So I have created a partyl spread to which you are invited to share .
What would be your favourite today.?
I would have loved a macaroon  to go with my cuppa.

Thank you for calling in to see me you are all welcome here.
Happy T day.

Sunday 6 November 2016

Use your imagination for AJJ

I have had a play  and made a hybrid journal page for Susi's theme over at
Collage. but no leaves, wings or faces.

So why Hybrid.....
for a start this page has some feathery leaves  on it, so for sure, not allowed.

So I altered the colours in my digital program and looked around to see what I could  find to cover the forbidden item

Looking through my stored photos and images, I found this photo of a card I had made a couple of years ago.
Ideal  to cover the leaves,
change its colour add more layers of images etc
The result is the collage you see at the top of the post.

Thank you for calling in to see me today, you are welcome and your visit is always appreciated.

Digital additions from
mischief Circus kits
and my own stored ones.
