Live, laugh and love for AJ

A journal page for the current challenge over at
where Hazel chose the theme of.... If music be the food of love.

This is the base layer of the page, a light water colour wash, some torn music scraps, a stencil  heart, which took an age to dry out. More stencils of hearts and words .words. I used distress inks to colour these and added some silver wax to the heart. . The stamps I have had quite a while, sorry no names.
The butterfly I lost the other day, is now firmly stuck to the page with some other bits and pieces.

Thank you for taking time to call and see me today. I always appreciate the comments you leave for me.

  1. That stenciled heart made me swoon when I saw it. Adding the flowers on top of the heart and the sheet music as a base made it even more romantic and feminine. This is beautiful.

  2. Oh what a gorgeous page Yvonne!
Stenciling the heart was so worth waiting for.
Funny how bits of this and that can disappear into the Bermuda Triangle and then appear again.
    Glad your butterfly fluttered back.

  3. I am also swooning over that heart, the detail is astonishing, in fact it looks almost like a piece of vintage lace. Gloriously romantic art.

  4. What you did with the prompt is absolutely beautiful.I love them both. The simplicity of the second one really makes it so appealing to me in particular being that I play violin. The heart stencil is just too pretty. I love how the wash in the first one had let the color blend so nicely. And the there is that awesome heart again. Like all the extras you added to it. You must have really spend some time on these two. Kudos to you.
