Call of the wild.

A mixed media piece  today but not using my usual type of base layer

This time I used one of my cross stitch  pictures, which is currently on display in my dinning room.
It was hard to get a photo as it is behind glass and stretched to fit the frame.
If you look real close there is a reflection of me
 with the camera.
I use my Craft Studio program to add the extras, some from Mischief Circus kits.

I am joining the folk over at Art Journal Journey again, for the Winter Wonderland theme hosted by Chrissie.
Follow their  link to the PinRest board and you will see some amazing artwork and inspiration for the theme.

Thank you for taking time to call and see me today,
I always appreciate the comments you leave for me.

  1. This is most impressive, Yvonne. I like the colors because they exude winter.

I had forgotten that George Carlin could be serious at times, because I like this quote. But of course, the lovely journal page itself was what really caught my eye. It's a real beauty for sure.

  22. What a dramatic page - wolves are amongst the most magnificent of animals I think (polar bears and big cats - especially tigers - are up there too). Your cross stitch looks fantastic to start with (even with the reflection - hello!), and I love the added cobwebs and of course the words.

  23. This is marvellous how you have used your cross stitch picture (especially capturing the image through glass) and then added so much to it to make this dramatic picture. The way you've added the spider's webs is unusual but is so effective and the poem fits perfectly in its place.
